The Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR AED certification course is designed for healthcare professionals and others who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.
Full BLS Provider Course takes approximately 4.5 hours to complete, including skills practice and skills testing. This class is for NEW Certification and if your license has expired.
This course covers:
-High-quality CPR: For adults, children, and infants.
- AED usage: Properly using an Automated External
-Defibrillator. Important early use of an AED Importance of early defibrillation in cardiac emergencies.
- Choking response: Techniques to relieve choking in adults and infants.
-Effective ventilations using a barrier device
-Importance of teams in multi rescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multi rescuer CPR
-Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infant.
Upon completion of all course requirements, participants receive a BLS Provider Course Completion Card which is valid for two years.
